Free quotePack away your plates. When we begin a kitchen refurbishment in Acton, dust quickly finds its way through loose floorboards into adjacent rooms, which means every piece of crockery, glassware, pantry staple, and small worktop appliance needs sealing inside sturdy plastic crates beforehand. You will need a temporary kettle station set up in the dining room or hallway.
Heavy boots ruin floorboards. Stripping out old timber base units creates heaps of splintered wood, meaning our team lays thick hardboard protection across your entry corridors so grit cannot scratch delicate surfaces when wheelbarrows carry debris outward. Moving bulky cast-iron radiators out of narrow passages beforehand prevents chipped paintwork along the main route.
We start every kitchen refurbishment by closely examining the space and taking accurate measurements to grasp the scope and pinpoint any structural or technical issues.
Following the assessment, we develop a clear, itemized quotation and schedule the project timeline, ensuring all materials, fixtures, and trades are coordinated before the work commences.
Our team meticulously removes outdated cabinets, surfaces, and appliances, getting the kitchen ready for the new installation while managing waste responsibly and limiting disturbances.
We carry out the installation of new units, worktops, flooring, and appliances, along with essential plumbing and electrical upgrades to align with current standards and enhance kitchen functionality.
Upon finishing the kitchen refurbishment, we perform a thorough quality check to confirm that all work aligns with the agreed-upon specifications before handing over the finished kitchen, ready for use.
Hidden leaks cause rot. Discovering corroded copper pipework behind plasterboard during kitchen refurbishment in Acton requires re-routing water feeds through floor joists before any new cabinets arrive on site, ensuring stopcocks remain readily accessible inside the sink carcass rather than buried behind panels. Water supply lines must never cross directly under heavy floor standing ovens.
Old fuse boxes struggle. Modern induction hobs draw substantial electrical current, which often demands pulling an entirely fresh dedicated cable straight from the consumer unit through ceiling voids. Splitting socket rings prevents breakers from tripping when an electric kettle runs alongside the dishwasher.
Spills soak in fast. Porous granite counters require regular penetrative sealant treatments applied across high-use areas around the draining board, because acidic lemon juice or red wine puddles will etch light stone surfaces if neglected overnight during daily meal preparation. Quick wiping with warm soapy microfibre cloths keeps the sealed finish intact.
Wood dries out quickly. Raw oak surfaces shrink around warm radiator bays unless seasoned with plant oils across the grain every several months. Maintaining timber joints prevents hairline moisture gaps near cold window sills after a kitchen refurbishment in Acton. Standing water behind tap stems turns pale oak black within days.
Grease sticks to cement. Sizzling oil from frying pans coats the ceramic splashback joints behind the cooker, meaning harsh chemical bleaches will degrade the flexible grout line until tiles loosen from plaster. Soft nylon brushes with mild vinegar mixtures loosen sticky kitchen grime without degrading colour pigments along joint lines.
